- Receive, store, issue and delivery equipment, material and supplies.
- Answer inquiries about merchandise, purchase orders, requisitions, and related topics for vendors and District staff.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments of equipment, material and supplies for quantity and condition of items.
- Inspect, receive, mark, issue, deliver and record disposition of controlled property; complete inventory records on disposition of property.
- Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and dolly and drive a truck to move/deliver material and supplies to campuses within the Phoenix Union High School District.
- Pickup of used or outdated equipment from campus and deliver to scrap yard or auction.
- Drive a truck and unload and deliver merchandise to Phoenix Union campuses.
- Process returned goods; apply bar code labels to furniture and equipment; and process related documentation as necessary.
- Maintain appropriate customer relations with all vendors, delivery drivers, and school personnel.
- Control, review, and account for all receiving tickets, documents, vendor shipping lists, and/or freight loading bills.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must possess a CDL drivers license with air brakes endorsement to operate motor vehicles up to 2 tons.
- 2 years of experience in warehousing, inventory control.
- Physical strength to lift and move furniture, equipment, materials and supplies of moderate weight.
- Ability to interpret and apply specialized documents and sources of information relevant to assigned duties as exemplified by, but not limited to, the following: purchase and receiving documents, shipping and issue documents, stock catalogs and item descriptions, and warehouse and property control instructions
- Computer experience preferred
- Ability to communicate with campus staff and personnel effectively
- Ability to follow safety procedures and operate safely job related equipment such as pallet jacks, forklift, dolly, photocopier, shrink wrap machine, and banding machine.
- Ability to stand, walk, turn, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, lift, push, pull, and lift 50 lbs.
