- Provides short-term, solution-focused counseling and crisis intervention to employees within a multi-cultural framework.
- Assists in coordinating and facilitating referrals for therapeutic services not provided by the District, via the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
- Provides on-site critical incident response and follow-up services for employees impacted by a critical incident.
- Keeps up-to-date documentation and data by facilitating and completing accurate and comprehensive reports, surveys and needs assessments.
- Conducts prevention-based trainings for employees including, suicide prevention, EAP training and orientation sessions, and social/emotional well-being.
- Demonstrates professional knowledge and engages in ongoing professional development in accordance with the National Association of Social Work Standards, or other national associations that govern his/her licensure.
- Serves as a member of the Talent Division and the PXU Employee Wellness Program to promote employee health and wellness.
- Works with the PXU Trust and the PXU Benefits Department to improve social, emotional, and mental health supports and services for employees.
- Facilitates mediations between employees and supports in resolving employee conflict as needed.
- Performs other Talent duties as assigned.
- Master's Degree in Social Work or Master's Degree in a Mental Health Discipline (i.e. Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy).
- Licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as an LICSW, Licensed Independent Social Worker; or LCSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker; or LPC, Licensed Professional Counselor.
- Current Independent State License to Practice.
- At least three (3) years of experience in adult or employee social work.
- Experience in working with diverse and multi-cultural populations, preferred.
- Experience coordinating and facilitating prevention and intervention work and trainings, preferred.
- Experience working with employee wellness programs, preferred OR Experience in work related issues
- English/Spanish, bilingual preferred.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Staff Health & Wellness Specialist serves employees whose social, emotional and/or family problems interfere with their capacity to perform adequately within a professional environment. The Staff Health & Wellness Specialist professionally assesses the presenting problem(s) in order to provide and refer for interventions that help eliminate barriers to performing effectively in the work environment. While the primary role of the Staff Health & Wellness Specialist is to provide intervention-based therapeutic services to employees, the Staff Health & Wellness Specialist will ultimately support in building, facilitating and promoting employee safety, health, and wellness.
