    SALARY: Stepless Certified Salary Schedule

    Salary includes Prop 301 *DOE

    BA $43,822 - $49,726

    MA $47,205 - $52,447

    *Additional Compensation for Special Skills/Endorsements

    $5,522.52 annually paid by PUSD covers all of medical silver plan employee

    • Retirement through ASRS (PUSD matching contribution approx 12% total)

    Additional Compensation

    Performance Pay - approx- $1650

    Building Goals - approx $1500

    Relocation $750 in state / $1500 out of state


    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Knowledge of:

    EDUCATION:
    • Completion of course works satisfying the requirements for issuance of an Arizona Teaching Certificate and all endorsements in the area(s) of assignment. Must meet the applicable State certification requirements at the grade level and subject area the teacher is assigned to teach

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Guide the learning, interest and activities of each student by:
      • selecting objectives at the correct level of difficulty
      • teaching to one sub-objective at a time
      • utilizing the principles of learning
      • assessing student performance and modifying instruction accordingly
    • Be familiar with law relating to teachers and students, policies, rules and regulations of the Page Unified School District #8 Governing Board, and with the courses of study and curriculum guides adopted for the work of their respective teaching assignments.
    • Spend such time in addition to the regular day as may be needed to fulfill satisfactorily the responsibilities of lesson planning, student and parent conferences, faculty meetings and other required tasks.
    • Supervise the work of students
    • Direct and evaluate the learning experience of the students in both curricular and extra-curricular activities
    • Plan and organize instruction to best meet the needs of each individual student
    • Make appropriate application of learning theory to meet the needs of students
    • Develop instructional plans
    • Use a variety of methods and materials to implement instructional plans
    • Manage the classroom to create optimal learning conditions
    • Provide guidance to students which will promote their welfare and proper educational development
    • Provide leadership to students by modeling good citizenship and a positive attitude toward learning
    • Assess and report student progress in a timely manner
    • Initiate, plan and carry out parent conferences
    • Maintain a professional relationship with parents and the community
    • Participate in professional development activities
    • Plan, coordinate and supervise the work of teacher aides
    • Supervise students in and out of the classroom while on duty
    • Initiate and maintain communication and a good working relationship with colleagues, students and parents
    • Attend meetings and serve on committees as requested
    • Maintain the necessary current records and reports as requested
    • Provide students and the school with the maximum return on all equipment, materials, supplies and utilities under the teacher's direction
    • Provide for the care and protection of school property
    • Perform other such duties as are assigned by the administration and the Governing Board

    EVALUATION:
    • The teacher's performance is evaluated by the building principal and/or designee according to the provisions of PUSD’s policy on evaluation.

    REPORTS TO: Building Principal

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Set annually by the Governing Board
