PAY GRADE: Certified Salary Schedule

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

POSITION OBJECTIVE: The job of Teacher on Assignment is done for the purpose(s) of assisting and supporting teachers, staff and administration.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)

  1. Facilitator of Meetings for Teachers
  2. Mentor Teachers (New and experienced)
  3. Support Administrators of teacher
  4. Work on Curriculum Mapping with teachers and team
  5. Update Curriculum Maps on district Website
  6. Attend along with team state and national conferences
  7. Work closely with the team to develop PD for teachers and Paras
  8. Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Education & Experiences: (positon in this class typically require)

Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited institution

AZ Department of Education Teaching Certificate

DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Medium Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
