    POSITION SUMMARY
    Delivers, receives, stores and inventories food, food service supplies and equipment per established policies and procedures.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Fills warehouse orders and delivers to sites as ordered in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Arranges for and organizes storage and rotation of food items and supplies, ensuring food and supplies are stored per county health and federal regulations.
    • Receives and inspects incoming shipments, documenting receipt per department procedures.
    • Conducts inventories of warehoused items and government commodities.
    • Prepares and maintains inventory and related reports as required.
    • Recommends delivery access plan improvements or changes.
    • Maintains warehouse and freezer/cooler cleanliness.
    • Works in kitchens as schedule permits and is needed.
    • Delivers all required bar-b-que items such as bar-b-que grill, Cambro warmer, and other miscellaneous food preparation pans and utensils.
    • Conducts set-up and break-down for all daytime and evening bar-b-ques; including the cleaning, loading and unloading of all bar-b-que items, as well as, regular cleaning of the bar-b-que grill after event.
    • Conducts all scheduled daytime bar-b-ques and assists with evening bar-b-ques when possible.
    • Conducts a daily pre-trip safety inspection of the vehicle. Outside inspection to include tires, wheels, fluid leaks/levels, windshield, mirrors, warning system, and exhaust system. Inside inspection to include cleanliness, instruments and controls, gauges, warning lights, etc. Fuels the vehicle. Reports all defects or non-operational findings to the Transportation department.
    • Maintains daily mileage and route logs as required.
    • Obeys all traffic laws and observes all mandatory safety regulations.
    • Performs related duties as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • Demonstrate general knowledge of rules and standards of cleanliness, health and safety.
    • Ability to operate a standard or automatic motorized vehicle and a forklift or hand truck.
    • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to perform reading and math skills.
    • Ability to use standard office and computer equipment and purchasing/inventory software programs.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
    • Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with staff, students, parents and community members.
    • Perform all duties in accordance with Federal and State laws, district procedures and Board policies.
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • AZ Drivers license
    • Must receive a passing score on a driving test within 90 days
    • 2 years of warehouse, shipping and receiving experience
    • Any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that meets minimum requirements

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to reach with hands and arms and operate controls with hands and feet. The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, walk, stoop, bend and climb 10 or more feet above the ground. The employee may be required to regularly lift or move up to 75 pounds.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    Indoor warehouse and sub-zero refrigeration environment and outdoors in all kinds of conditions and temperatures. Exposure to heat, fumes and exhaust. The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate and may become excessively noisy at times. Will have contact with employees, external agencies and the public.

    $16.95/hour - 9 Month position - 40 hours/week
