Accounting Analyst, Senior
Fortune 5 CVS Health has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join its Ohio MMP Finance Team. The ideal candidate will have Medicaid/Medicare experience with strong analytical skills. Will be performing month end close processes, reconciliations, state Cost Reporting, as well as performing complex assignments requiring advanced analytical and technical skills. Will serve as Subject Matter Expert for specific processes and leading special projects and ad hoc requests as needed.
-Perform month-end and quarter-end accounting close process including but not limited to:
-Preparation of journal entries (accruals, prepaid and expense transfers), account reconciliations and verifying accuracy of the general ledger.
-State reporting requirements (Cost Report, NAIC Reconciliation, Rate Survey, MLR, etc.)
-Variance analysis for Balance Sheet, Income Statement accounts and Forecast
-Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
-Review of journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by others.
-Completion of accurate and timely Financial reporting and analysis.
-Provide information and assistance to support various Internal and External audits.
-Complete special projects as assigned across functional areas within the Finance group.
-Assist areas of responsibility for annual budget and quarterly revisions.
-Identify and interpret new reporting and disclosure requirements.
-Liaison between Corporate and Local Market Finance teams.
- 3 or more years of accounting and/or finance experience.
Must have Medicaid-Medicare or Healthcare experience, Advanced Excel skills, and Hyperion Essbase. Oracle, SQL, Excel4Apps, Quickbase are a plus.
CPA a plus.
Bachelors degree required. Masters degree is a plus.
