Position Summary
The Vensure Accounts Receivable team is in search for the perfect candidate to oversee and refine a rapidly growing department. The main responsibilities for this role include ensuring timely collection of payments, review and verify financial recordings to comply with accounting principles. In addition, daily tasks will include investigating and resolving any irregularities or inquiries. This individual will not only improve processing efficiencies and ensure accuracy of financial records but will also lead the implementation of any new external/internal processing software and integrate those aging's into the daily review. An essential part of this position is to adapt to a high functioning, fast paced environment. As the Manager of A/R Aging you will be required to be highly motivated and provide close attention to detail. This role requires timely and accurate responses to executive members of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee staff ensuring all team members are fully trained and maintain accurate system knowledge to execute their daily tasks.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with internal teams that are intricate in the AR process (i.e. Payroll processing department and the team that maintains the client relationship).
  • Develop and implement new reporting and metrics.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to all team members.
  • Lead and conduct high level meetings with department heads to ensure at risk clients are reviewed on a month-to-month basis.
  • Identify areas of opportunity to increase efficiencies with current processes and assist in or initiate process improvements.
  • Supports the VP of Accounting with requests and special projects on an ad hoc basis.
  • Communicate clearly, effectively, and quickly. Senior Manager is to at once escalate potential fraud, large credit requests and retention efforts. Escalation to immediate leadership is needed for all C-suite requests ensuring correct information is provided.
  • Oversees Credit Underwriting evaluation of all newly onboarded clients, Credit Underwriting annual evaluation of all clients and Credit Underwriting evaluation of all newly acquired clients.
  • Audit of payment methods updated or changed within existing payroll processing platforms.
  • Oversees the team completing fraud and OFAC evaluation, implements processes ensuring QA is completed and accuracy is achieved for all evaluations.
  • Develops processes and the teammates responsible for completing client profitability and audit related to admin credit requests.
  • Review and approve credit requests sent by other departments over a specified threshold.
  • Oversees the ClientSpace queues related to above tasks; ensuring all cases are properly assigned and resolved within the specified SLA.
  • Create and forward reporting for all responsibilities within the manger's purview:
  • Total credit evaluation stats are supplied weekly to AVP and VPs.
  • Total admin credits issued.
  • All other client credits issued and corresponding client profitability.
  • Reporting related to all escalations.
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude is needed.
  • This position will often interact with SVP, Division President, and C-suite levels. This person must be able to prioritize and ensure correct information is provided within a quick turnaround time.
  • Must be confident in speaking to large groups and hosting company-wide training courses.
  • Review, supply feedback and approve department submitted standard operating procedures for current processes.
  • Lead and oversee onboarding of new divisions processes that relate to any of the above-mentioned items and ensure correct SOPs are developed by the team and properly completed.
  • This person must be easy to work with and able to quickly pivot to newly prioritized projects while still ensuring they have delegated necessary tasks to their team to ensure success in all required areas

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
  • Must be able to coach, develop and mentor team member.
  • Lead and supervise staff ensuring all team members are fully trained and maintain accurate system knowledge to execute their daily tasks.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with internal teams that are intricate in the AR process (i.e. Payroll processing department and the team that maintains the client relationship).
  • Develop and implement strategic procedures based on changing needs and evolving processes.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to all A/R team members.
  • Monitor, approve, and ensure a timely release of payroll for clients deemed as high risk.
  • Review aging comments provided by collection team ensuring aggressive collection attempts and timely payments received from clients.
  • Provide monthly/quarterly write offs researched and submitted for approval to SVP of accounting as necessary.
  • Lead and conduct high level meetings with department heads to ensure at risk clients are reviewed on a month-to-month basis.
  • Identify areas of opportunity to increase efficiencies with current processes and assist in or initiate process improvements

Education & Experience
  • Minimum three years' operations experience required, with experience in a high flow business preferable.
  • Minimum three years accounts receivable and credit experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated professional written and verbal communication, patience, perseverance, and follow through skills.
  • Problem solving skills are mandatory as well as the ability to manage resources to complete team goals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and demonstrated ability to learn other applications as needed
