Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager position available in Brookfield, CT. Duties incl: Manage fin'l acctg operations for all Fairfield Catering Group companies. Coord all internal & external fin'l reporting incl yearly audits related to workers compensation & insurance. Review & process accounts payable to ensure accuracy. Perform regular bank acct reconciliations. Maintain companies' general ledger to ensure transactions are recorded correctly. Generate & examine companies' P&L, Balance Sheet, & Cash Flow statements. Compile & review historical revenue data to support sales trends analysis & help make future revenue projections. Responsible for budget creation & variance analysis for each company. Manage multi-state payroll tax (via Paychex) & sales tax reporting for Connecticut & New York. Support human resource administration by maintaining & analyzing employee compensation data incl payroll, medical benefits, Simple IRA, 401K, etc. Assist w/ business licensing & permit renewals. Manage 1099 reporting & filing. Confer w/ co. mgmt regarding fin'l & regulatory matters. Perform other similar, related duties as necessary. Reqmts incl: Must have a Bach's deg in Acctg or a similar, related field, or the foreign equiv. Must have at least 12 months prior F/T exp as an Accountant, Controller, Fin'l Auditor, or other similar, related field.
