As an Adjunct Faculty member in the College of Education, you will have the opportunity to teach on our traditional ground campus and support students pursuing bachelors and masters degrees in education, including early childhood, elementary, secondary education, TESOL, and special education.

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to instruct the course listed below on our main campus in Phoenix, AZ. The Fall semester beings the week of September 2nd.

"This course explores components of typical and atypical literacy development for children Birth to Age 8/Grade 3. Coursework emphasizes the science of reading and components of literacy development, including phonics, phonemic awareness, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Teacher candidates focus on assessing developmental and other literacy concerns, through differentiation strategies to support literacy learning in young children, including dyslexia."

• Deliver engaging and effective instruction aligned with program outcomes.

• Equip students with practical skills for success as educators.

• Facilitate in-class discussions.

• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.

• Serve as a positive role model, reflecting the Universitys Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education, or related field

• AND valid state teacher certification in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education or Special Education, a valid state teacher certification in Elementary Education with an Endorsement in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education or Special Education, a teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or Special Education.
