Job Description
To develop and deliver decision support tools, reporting applications, insights and business intelligence based on advanced analyses and studies to support Medicaid Appeal and Grievance. This involves extracting, collecting, analyzing and interpreting health, utilization and financial data from many sources to address business questions regarding population health management, health and economic outcomes, quality of healthcare, healthcare program and product design, healthcare provider network design and other business needs.

Under direct supervision, conducts analyses or produces reports of varied healthcare data to assist in the assessment of health and economic outcomes.

Produces results including, but not limited to: lists, reports, graphical summaries and statistical tests.
Designs and codes efficiently using SAS/SQL programs.
Extracts clinical and financial healthcare data from multiple sources and creates integrated analytic data sets.
Performs the following aspects of data analysis: programming, data management, data acquisition and documentation).
Assesses data and analyzes quality to identify and correct data issues.
Under supervision, performs univariate and multivariate statistical analyses. Documents methods, specifications, and results clearly.
Communicates information in a clear and concise manner.
Develops efficient reporting applications and processes. Receives direct supervision on a continual basis.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 40,560
Maximum: 81,100

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of relational databases, data systems and data warehouses.
Experience in statistical analysis and database management.
Knowledge of analytic programming tools and methods (SAS, SQL, OLAP, Business Objects, Crystal).

Preferred Qualifications
One or more years of programming, or data analysis experience, knowledge of healthcare or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
Knowledge of other reporting platforms such as: Business Objects, Microsoft Access, web development technology, big data analytics, data mining, Visual Basic.
Strong SQL and SAS programming skills (e.g., SAS Base, SAS STAT, SAS Macros)

Education
Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Social Science, Healthcare or related discipline.
