Job Description
Zillow, Inc. is seeking an Applied Scientist for its Seattle, Washington office.
Job Duties: Responsible for researching and implementing new machine learning and statistical models that impact customer experience and engagement across the company's product portfolio and through paid and unpaid marketing channels. Employ contextual bandits and other online experimentation capabilities to dynamically improve customer experience and engagement at massive scale. Develop bidding and budget pacing algorithms to optimize access to best customer prospects. Apply time series and other prediction methods to segment and predict consumer behavior, providing insight into customers and removing friction from the home shopping, buying, and selling experience. Develop and extend machine-learning algorithms customized to the domain. Telecommuting is permitted.
Education Requirement: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Management, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
Experience Requirements: Two (2) years of experience in each of the following:
" Utilizing Python, PySpark, and AWS platform
" Deploying and automating machine learning pipelines in Airflow
" Analyzing and visualizing data to draw valuable business insights
" Developing scalable machine learning solutions to solve business problems
" Applying algorithms for supervised or unsupervised machine learning for big data
" Preparing input for machine learning models using data collection, data processing, and feature engineering
