The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community ("SRPMIC") may hold your next opportunity.

Who are we?
The SRPMIC is a sovereign tribe located in the metropolitan Phoenix area. Bounded by the cities of Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa and Fountain Hills, the Community serves over 10,800 tribal members, and all persons conducting business over approximately 96 square miles area of residential, agricultural and commercial lands, as a full-service government entity. The Community also operates tribal enterprises in diverse industries.
What the job looks like:
The SRPMIC's Office of the General Counsel (OGC) is looking for an attorney who fits into the Community's and OGC's culture. The SRPMIC Community Manager has a slogan of "Be a Nice Human". At OGC, we strive for a positive and respectful work environment.

We are seeking a solution-oriented, highly skilled and professional attorney to join our team. You will be responsible for performing a variety of legal tasks related to tribal operations.

As an active and engaged team member you will have the ability to develop and maintain collaborative and positive relationships with employees, management and the public to create a productive work environment.

Apply if you have a:
  • Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited college or university
  • Member in good standing with a state bar association, and able to take, pass and be admitted to the Arizona Bar within one (1) year from date of hire
  • three (3) years of experience in experience as a licensed attorney representing Native American tribes in legal affairs
  • strong understanding of Native American tribes' social, political, legal framework for tribal governments
