ASSISTANT SERVICE CENTER COORDINATOR
Job Description
The Assistant Service Center Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Service Center Coordinator with
coordinating human services that are delivered from Tribal programs to Community residents. Activities may
include administrative/clerical tasks, personal visits to homes, and/or event planning and implementation of
recreational and District activities, projects and financial planning. Assumes responsibility for all Service Center
operations in the absence of the Service Center Coordinator.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supervise and participate as directed by the Service Center Coordinator, which includes assisting in hiring of
personnel, completing employee performance evaluations, approving timesheets and other personnel matters
as directed.
Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of all assigned Tribal facilities and common ground areas which
may include assisting kitchen staff with preparation of daily meals, clean-up of dinning and kitchen areas,
delivering and serving hot meals, and providing transportation for the elderly, youth, and District members as
needed.
Provide resource information to District members regarding approved programs and make necessary referrals
as needed which includes providing liaison assistance for District members during natural and human caused
disasters for their safety and welfare.
May procure services and goods for the overall operations and oversee accountability of all inventory of tools,
equipment and supplies.
Make home visits to District members and District Elders to ascertain their welfare.
Assist the Service Center Coordinator with various activities for the District, Committees, and other Tribal
agencies; Assist with intake and approval of Approved Assistance Programs such as burial intake, HEAP,
EDQLP, TERP and resolving customer issues to their overall satisfaction.
Assist with the planning and development of special projects directed by the District Community which may
include planning and organizing events, various activities, and workshops for District Community members
Maintains an overall management style that follows best practices that provides leadership and direction to
all employees including motivation, delegation and staying focus on department mission and goals.
Prepare required reports and records to the District Community and/or Committees as directed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
