Associate

Alkali Partners LLC is seeking an Associate for its Portland, Oregon office.

Job Duties: Work closely with senior bankers during all stages of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and growth-capital transactions including business development, client coverage, and deal execution. Provide transaction support to senior bankers on corporate finance transactions including M&A, secondary offerings, and private placements. Prepare marketing and transactions materials, produce client presentations, and perform due diligence. Analyze financial statements, review and assess business plans, and manage day-to-day contact with clients and related parties. Advise founders and key stakeholders on mergers and acquisitions. Interact with clients through entire deal process. Telecommuting is permitted.

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field

Experience Requirements: One (1) year of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience in each of the following:

• Conducting industry research to produce M&A reports.
• Analyzing financial statements to review and assess business plans.
• Utilizing industry databases such as Capital IQ, Pitchbook, or ThompsonOne.
• Participating in all stages of M&A process including market preparations, launch, and due diligence.
