Position Title: Associate Materials Coordinator

Reporting to the Production Management Quality Assurance Manager, the Associate Materials Coordinator position is responsible for regulated medical waste (RMW) pickup and cage maintenance, on-demand label printing, oversee cleanliness and orderliness (CLOR) duties, performing irradiation for Hospital Services as needed, assisting Component Operations production as needed and providing assistance to Material Coordinator as needed.

In this role, youll:
- In this role, you will: include the following: other duties may be assigned. Management retains the discretion to add or to change the duties of the position at any time.
- Perform daily RMW pickup from all affected Blood Center departments. Responsible for bio-cage cleaning and maintenance
- Perform printing, ordering, receiving, documentation, and quality control of all labels used in and generated by the department according to Label Control guidelines.
- Manage departmental supplies, equipment and materials including critical supply tracking and quality control. Work with vendors to schedule annual PMs.
- Place and track Purchase Orders to ensure the laboratory maintains adequate supplies and materials needed for efficient, high-quality operations on an as needed basis.
- Provide irradiation services to Hospital Services as needed.
- Provide support in the Component Lab and Hospital Services when necessary.
- Provide assistance with validations as needed.
- Perform bi-annual Shipping Test for shipping containers
- Assist in maintaining departmental equipment including installations, repairs, maintenance, calibrations, validations, and quality control.
- Maintain competency to act as a departmental Subject Matter Expert (SME) and trainer.
- Perform regular safety audits throughout Product Management.
- Assist and participate in departmental and regulatory audits.
- Manage department equipment including installations, repairs, maintenance, calibration and quality control.
- Review equipment QC records including temperature monitoring system.
- Comply with OSHA, FDA, AABB, cGMP, EU and regulatory standards to include maintaining the laboratory in a clean and safe manner

We need someone who:
- High School Diploma or GED; No previous experience or training required.
- Must be flexible with working hours and days
- Ability to comply with FDA guidelines regarding Standard Operating Procedures and Quality
- Able to demonstrate leadership qualities, customer service and problem-solving skills
- Computer Literate: Must be familiar with using computers

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to blood and/or blood components, as well as any other biohazard materials. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is frequently exposed to extreme cold.
Job duties involved an inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood with a risk of exposure to Hepatitis and HIV.
