Job Description
The Budget Administrator is responsible for preparing the Community’s Annual Operating Budget, Annual
Capital Budget, and the Community’s Annual Water Budget; responsible for monitoring the execution of the
budgets and the analysis of variances; responsible for the preparation of any budget modifications throughout the
fiscal year. The Budget Administrator is responsible for ensuring the related Parties (GRIC to Enterprises)
accounts are reconciled quarterly and monitor the preparation of the Community’s Financial Statements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Responsible for ensuring and enforcing compliance in all financial aspects of the Gila River Indian
Community Policies and Procedures and Accounting and Procurement Manual including, but not limited
to:
- Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB)
- Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB)
- Government Auditing Standards (GAS)
- OMB Circular A-133 (Single Audit Act of 1984)
- OMB Circular A-102
- OMB Circular A-87
- Gila River Tribal Gaming Ordinance
- Gaming Compact
- Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GASS)
- Other Local, State and Federal regulations
- Shared responsibility to ensure the financial statements are accurate and created in a timely fashion as
- Responsible for reviewing, monitoring and reconciliations related to Cash, Investments, Capital Budgets,
well as reconciliation with all non-governmental entities.
Pima Leasing Loan, and Year End Balance Sheet Account, and for providing timely reports to the
Treasurer and Finance Director.
