LOCATION: SW DHQ

SUPERVISOR: Divisional Secretary for Business

STATUS: PT/27.5 hrs/wk

SCHEDULE: 8:00 am – 1:30 pm (M-F) (scheduled hours are negotiable)

The Salvation Army Divisional Headquarters is looking to fill the position of Business Services Assistant. The qualified candidate will be a self starter with a positive attitude and willingness to be a team player.

In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

FLEET SERVICES

  • Track, monitor and manage the fleet vehicle database for the Division
  • Transfer vehicle titles as directed
  • Assist in the procurement and sale of vehicles
  • Manage Divisional gas card inventory & distribution

SECURITY/SAFETY

  • Assist in managing and monitoring the security system for the Herberger Center as needed
  • Work with the Divisional Property Coordinator to maintain the security cameras in working order and recommend replacement and/or upgrades to the system
  • Monitor elevator to ensure that it is operational and safe

HERBERGER PROPERTY & EVENTS

  • Set up for trainings, seminars, conferences, chapel, and other events at Divisional Headquarters and ensure the following are complete in conjunction with the DHQ custodian:
  • Ensure tables & chairs are clean before each set up
  • Provide hosts with assistance for over all set up and remain at the ready for additional assignments associated with the event/meeting/conference
  • Report maintenance problems to the Metro Phoenix Maintenance Manager

INVENTORY

  • Inventory and maintain First Aid kits/supplies for the Herberger Property.
  • Monitor copy paper inventory, and order additional supply as needed

Other duties as assigned as it relates to the position of Business Services Assistant.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • College coursework preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in office service support
  • Computer literate with an ability to navigate the internet
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Ability work with minimal supervision

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
