Business Systems Analyst I

Bloomin' Brands is looking for a Business Analyst to join the team! This role requires the individual to possess experience in both the business and related technologies. The Business System Analyst will analyze, design and develop the necessary requirements to support data integrations and system development. To be effective in this role, the individual will need to be detail oriented and have a natural curiosity to want to understand data processes and to assist the team in resolving issues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct requirements gathering sessions with end users (Directors, Managers, Individual Contributors) and prepare accurate and detailed requirement specifications and mapping documents
• Collaborate and communicate effectively and efficiently with Lead Analyst, Development and QA team in the completion of all development projects using agile best practices
• Develop process flow charts as required to support use case/business requirements understanding
• Follow up, investigate, troubleshoot and resolve production support incident and requests
• Work collaboratively with IT and business and keep team members and business stakeholders informed of issues, project status, changes, etc.
• Provide support to the Product Owner with backlog grooming and prioritization

Desired Experience

• Three or more years of experience in developing requirements and performing system analysis
• Basic knowledge and experience with integrations and ETL tools such as Informatica
• Understanding of relational databases and experience in writing SQL Server queries
• Strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with various system development lifecycles such as waterfall, RUP, and Agile methods
• Restaurant/Hospitality industry Experience is a plus

Education

• Bachelors degree in CS, IS Systems or related technical field required. (3 years of comparable work experience may be substituted)
