Cafeteria Worker, Lead - Catering (Effective 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR)
Job Description
SUMMARY
Prepares and serves meals and snack bar items from a steam table, grill, snack bar window or mobile station, cake decorating and catering. Leads the work of food service cafeteria workers. Carries out the work plan for the day when the manager is not there. Position hours are adjusted throughout the year based on customer participation volume. This position requires flexibility in work hours to include evenings and weekends as needed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
One (1) year food service experience.
Cashiering experience.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
PREFFERED qualifications
Cake Decorating Experience
Catering Experience
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Completion of a Health Department Food Service Operators Certificate within three months from date of hire.
Post-offer/pre-employment physical exam and 50lb lift test.

Work Calendar: 12 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
