    DEFINITION: Facilitates and evaluates the afterschool program to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and grant objectives.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    TASKS:
    Establishes a safe and effective learning environment for students.
    Supervises and supports teaching staff in order to implement a successful program, completes site instructor agreements, observes classes, maintains records.
    Communicates with Principal and Director for program planning, marketing, and organization.
    Acts as liaison with community partners, school staff, students, parents and other stakeholders.
    Monitors student attendance of the program by collecting attendance rosters.
    Engages with parents and families to encourage a community-centered program.
    Monitors district resources to support program including but not limited to custodial, transportation and food services.
    Works with District and school personnel to ensure compliance with policies and procedures are adhered to such as emergency, use of facility, student pick up, lockdowns, permission slips, and other protocols.
    Participates in professional development, planning meetings, and public relations events.
    Actively seeks and positively promotes community engagement through community partners.
    Distributes and collects student, teacher and parent surveys and analyzes, interprets and reports data on academics, perceptions and youth development.
    Collaborates with Principal and staff to ensure the program meets student needs.
    Performs all other duties as required.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:
    Knowledge of District policies and procedures, state and federal labor laws including child labor laws
    Ability to serve as a team player
    Ability to facilitate groups
    Skill in oral and written communication
    Skill in establishing and maintaining working relationships
    Skill in problem solving and conflict resolution skills

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is performed in an indoor environment. Work requires frequent sitting, standing, bending, repetitive motion, vision to monitor and lifting up to 15 pounds.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    High School Diploma or GED
    Three (3) years of supervising after school programs
    An equivalent combination of training and education may substitute for some experience.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Bachelors Degree in Education or related field
    Bilingual English/Spanish

    Start Date: August 2024 to May 2025 Hourly Pay: $35.00
