DEFINITION:
Under supervision of site Principal and the 21st CCLC Site Coordinator, this position involves the coordination and implementation of the 21st CCLC outreach component for the purpose of integrating and educating parents of 21st CCLC after school students and to reach out to the surrounding community to seek support for the academic, parent engagement, and youth development goals of the program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

REPORTS TO: PRINCIPAL OF SITE & 21st CCLC SITE COORDINATOR
TASKS:
Provides community resource education opportunities for families in order to reach the family engagement goals of the grant.
Assists in promoting and communicating the attendance policies for the after school program.
Serves as major communication link between home and school; liaison to parents and Site Coordinator.
Provides Parent Engagement information to staff, students, and parents as to increase parent involvement.
Maintains documentation on parent meetings/workshops (sign-in sheets, agendas).
Maintains parent/adult attendance data for events and programs.
Conducts parent surveys and reports data for programmatic evaluation.
Solicits financial/programmatic support from community resources to enhance and sustain the program.
Assists Site Coordinator as needed to fulfill 21st CCLC grant goals.
Performs related duties as requested within federal funding regulations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:
Knowledge of District policies and procedures
Knowledge of school, community and tribal resources
Knowledge of barriers hindering parent involvement in school services and student academic achievement
Skill in the use of a personal computer and database programs such as Excel
Skill in following written and oral instructions
Skill in oral and written communication
Skill in preparing letters and flyers
Establish and maintain effective relationships with school staff, parents, and community
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is performed in an indoor environment. Work requires frequent sitting, standing, bending, repetitive motion, vision to monitor and lifting up to 15 pounds.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must possess an Arizona driver license
Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
