Job Description

Facility: Valleywise Health Medical Center

Department: Nursing Internal Resource Pool (IRP)

Schedule: Per Diem 12 Hours Per Week

Shifts: Nights

As a Float CNA, youll play a vital role in delivering compassionate, hands-on care to patients across multiple hospital units; including med-surg, ICU, ER, and more. You'll assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), support mobility and hygiene, take and record vital signs, and promptly report changes in patient condition. Hourly Pay Rate: $24.00

The night shift pay differential will be paid at 18% of the employee's base rate of pay. The weekend shift pay differential will be paid at 8% of the employee's base rate of pay.

Qualifications

Education:

Prefers a high school diploma or GED.

Experience:

Prefer at least one (1) year of relevant nursing assistant or healthcare-related experience.

Specialized Training:

Must successfully complete approved Valleywise Health computer classes.

Certification/Licensure:

Requires licensure through the AZ Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
A BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center is required upon hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Bilingual is preferred.
Must have the ability to work with culturally diverse people.
Requires excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
Must be able to float to all departments as needed.
Must be able to meet the conditions as stated in the employment agreement.
