Fellowship House is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS) to join our Broward Forensic team, working on either the Post-Arrest Diversion (PAD) or High Acuity Treatment Team (HATT) programs. In this role, youll draw on your lived experience to provide hope, advocacy, and peer support to individuals navigating both the behavioral health and justice systems.
Post-Arrest Diversion (PAD) Program
Help individuals facing non-violent felony charges access community-based mental health and substance use servicesinstead of incarceration. As a CRPS in PAD, you will:
Provide peer mentoring and recovery-focused support
Advocate for clients and help them navigate the court system
Connect participants to essential treatment and social services
High Acuity Treatment Team (HATT)
Be part of a mobile, community-based team delivering short-term, intensive support to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. As a CRPS in HATT, you will:
Offer in-the-moment support during crises
Foster trust, engagement, and recovery-focused relationships
Empower participants through connection, empathy, and lived experience
Requirements:
- A Certified Recovery Peer Specialist, a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (Provisional) credential through the Florida Certification Board (FCB) OR be able to successfully obtain a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (Provisional) credential within 90 days of hire (REQUIRED).

CRPS-P Requirements include:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) - Must be eligible for acceptance by colleges or universities holding nationally recognized accreditation through the United States Department of Education and/or Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
- Lived Experience Endorsements - Lived experience is a foundation of peer-to-peer support services. As such, CRPS applicants must attest to at least one of the lived-experience endorsements at the time of application. Available endorsements are:
- Adult (A): Lived experience as an adult in recovery for a minimum of 2-years from a mental health and/or substance use condition.
- Family (F): Lived experience as a family member or caregiver to another person who is living with a mental health and/or substance use condition.
- Veteran (V): Lived experience as a veteran of any branch of the armed forces who is in recovery for a minimum of 2-years from a mental health and/or substance use condition.
- Youth (Y): Are between the ages of 18 and 29 at the time of application and have lived experience as a person who, between the ages of 14 and 25 experienced a significant life challenge and is now living a wellness and/or recovery-oriented lifestyle for at least two years.
- Completion of Florida Certification Board CRPS approved 40-hour training program.
- Passing score on the Certified Recovery Peer Specialist Exam.
