Civil Engineer
Salary: $96,491.00 per Year
Location: DeLand, Florida
Permanent position, Full Time, M-F, 40 hours per week.
Job description:
• Performs structural analysis and design for wall and roof metal cladding, insulated metal panels and related parts, and secondary structural systems, using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
• Review and interpret customer drawings, specifications, and other documents as required.
• Review shop drawings for structural requirements, building envelope requirements, and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices.
• Test products and materials in accordance with standards to meet code requirements.
• Provides engineering support to Technical Services, Sales, and other departments for customer facing projects, primarily for institutional, commercial, and industrial buildings and residential and agricultural projects as required.
• Support of Internal R&D or Technical Process Initiatives.
• Develops, updates, and maintains project documentation. Structural Design Engineer /Building Products
• May require site visits and discussions with architects, general contractors/ project managers, etc.
Education and Experience Required:
Requirements: Master of Science in Civil Engineering, plus 6 months of experience in the job offered. State licensure as a professional engineer (PE) is required.
