Compositing Supervisor
Salary: $ 89,898.00 per Year
Permanent position, Full Time, M-F, 40 hours per week.
Job description:
• Lead and manage the compositing team, providing guidance, mentoring, and training to team members.
•Collaborate with VFX Supervisors, compositors, and producers to ensure the highest quality of compositing work and project delivery.
• Assess the individual strengths and skills of the2D team members and optimize their contributions to project success.
•Utilize your technical expertise to seamlessly integrate 2D and 3D elements within shots while upholding creative and technical standards.
•Oversee and participate in advanced compositing tasks, including painting fixes, rotoscoping, chroma keying, graining/degraining images, and colour grading.
• Supervise the stitching of live action footage to ensure a cohesive final output.
• Lead the team's work with blue/green screen effects, ensuring precise matte creation and realistic compositing effects.
• Enhance lighting effects and shadows, ensuring they align with project requirements and creative vision. • Proactively troubleshoot Nuke software-related issues across projects,
optimizing workflow efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with the 3D department, providing valuable input and support for compositing tasks and maintaining project cohesion.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Computer Art or related or foreign equivalent plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as Compositor with 2 years of working experience with Nuke Software, Flame Software.
