Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS Seeking a hard-working and reliable Carpenter to join our team. Carpenter will participate in a variety of construction projects, assignments and follow direction and instructions from the Project Manager and Superintendent. The person must work well with others, be able to work outdoors and perform strenuous physical tasks. Carpenter will need to build, erect, install, and repair forms, structures and other components made of wood or other materials. Carpenter will have experience in performing rough and finish carpentry work. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry and carpentry trade. Must have reliable transportation to get to and from job-sites. Job-sites are located throughout Arizona and person must be willing to travel to any assigned project. Must have knowledge of construction materials and tools utilized as a carpenter. Have basic knowledge of construction trades, practices and procedures. Ability to understand and read construction drawings, sketches and provide primary layout of construction structures. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMPETENCIES • Ability to work outside in all seasons. • Ability to install wood partitions, roof framing, rafters, joists and all wood framed components. • Ability to install windows, door frames, doors, door hardware, interior and exterior trim. • Ability to establish layout based on construction drawings or instructions by a supervisor. $25.00 to $28.00 per Hour • Ability cut and shape structures from alternate material, such as plastic, fiberglass and drywall. • Ability to determine the appropriate connection materials such as nails, screws, staples or adhesives. • Knowledge of all power tools needed as a carpenter. • Adhere to Company Safety Requirements. • Perform other related duties as assigned. CONTINUOUS EDUCATION Employee will be expected to participate in continuous learning, competency building and maintenance of competency skills. Reports to and is supervised directly by the Field Project Manager and the President of La Causa Construction. Employee is also accountable for understanding and complying with CPLC policies and procedures.
