Job Description

Effective January 3, 2022, all CPLC Employees and all Service Providers, are required to be Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19. Newly hired employees, who are not Fully Vaccinated at the time of hire, are expected to begin a vaccination series immediately upon hire. CPLC recognizes medical and religious exemptions to the COVID-19 vaccination requirement, in accordance with applicable law and upon approval by CPLC. However, any person approved for an exemption, without exception, is subject to masking, weekly COVID-19 testing at their expense, and other requirements established by CPLC from time to time.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Project Manager is responsible for all La Causa Construction projects. In addition supervises directly the Construction Superintendents, Will be responsible for, individual rehab projects, and overseeing construction budgets, and Subcontractors.

SPECIALIZATIONS

Working knowledge of construction software's, Excel, Microsoft Project. Word and AIA Invoicing. Experience in preparing AIA Contracts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Five years of experience in construction management to include experience in residential and commercial projects. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • Knowledge of materials and methods involved in the construction or rehabilitation and commercial projects.
  • Working network of contacts within the contracting and trade community.
  • Knowledge in permitting and inspection process requirements.
  • Good communication and presentation skills ( verbal and written)
  • Advanced working knowledge of software programs, such Excel, Word and Project Manager; and construction draw and reporting programs.
  • Previous contracting experience a plus.
  • Oversees Subcontractor scheduling in coordination with the Construction Superintendent.
  • Assists the President with feasibility studies on all prospective projects.
  • Compiles bids for all new construction on a constant basis.
  • Works closely with supervisor on the submittal of proposals.
  • Prepares construction budgets on a consistent basis, to ensure that all cost are considered.
  • Maintains a good relationship with subcontractors.
  • Ensures that all projects are handled and constructed in timely manner.
  • Trains and supervises all construction staff members.
  • Assists CPLC and LCC with computer issues.
  • All other duties as may be required.


JOB RESPONSABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES
  • Responsible for coordinating and managing people, materials and equipment; budgets, schedules and contracts; and safety of employees and the general public.
  • Arrange for trade contractors to perform specialized craftwork or other specified construction work
  • Plan, organize and direct activities concerned with the construction of all projects.
  • Divide all construction site activities into logical steps and budgeting time required to meet established deadlines.
  • Oversee the selection and performance of trade contractors to complete specific pieces of the projects, including structural work, electrical work , plumbing , painting, etc.
  • Determine the order of objectives by priority.
  • Identify and organize critical functions.
  • Assist Senior Management in achieving project goals.
  • Prepare all project reports and documentation as required.
