Job Description
Under administrative direction, provides sport psychology services to student athletes within Sun Devil Athletics. This includes provision of professional counseling and sport performance services to student athletes, delivery of training, consultation and psychoeducation within Sun Devil Athletics ecosystem. The Sport Clinician works with a broader clinical and Sport Psychology team, and is part of a multi-disciplinary Sport Medicine team. Reports to Sport Psychologist Lead for Athletics, which consults closely with SDA executive leadership on mental health and sport psychology areas.

Salary Range
$70,000 - $82,000 per year; DOE

Essential Duties
- Provides consultation and psychoeducation within 26 athletic team environments, to varied professionals, administrators, coaches, student athletes, and parents.
- Provides individual, and group sport psychology services in a time-limited service delivery model.
- Builds mentoring programs for student athletes, and student athlete leaders.
- Supports student athlete orientation and medical team during physicals when needed for initial engagement and support.
- Works on team that offers sport psychology assessment for enhanced performance and student development
- Provides emergency and/or after hours and on call services as assigned, including postvention services to athlete community when needed.
- Provides training and supervision to agency trainees.
- Participates in agency and departmental program evaluation and research.
- Engages in professional development activities to maintain licensure/certification.
- Performs additional professional services based on individual skills and interests consistent with agency need.
Minimum Qualifications
LCSW, LPC or PhD licensure with ability to be licensed in Arizona within 3 months of hire OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

- Experience in stimulating changes in individual, institutional and corporate behaviors to create a more sustainable environment. Experience in maintaining quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
Working Environment
- Work occurs onsite, with office space in Sun Devil Athletics environment, with possibility of traveling to any Sun Devil Athletics facility to engage with staff, coaches, administrators or students
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse
- Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds
- Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts
- Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions
- Regular use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals
- Receives periodic review of work activities to ensure adherence to established goals, objectives, and deliverables
