General Description of Duties: This position will perform vacuuming, trash removal, sweeping/mopping floors, dusting, restroom cleaning, carpet cleaning, hard floor maintenance, general grounds maintenance, and window cleaning. Performs striping, waxing, buffing, dust mopping, damp mopping of floors and carpet care as scheduled; cleans buildings including offices, hallways, meeting rooms and classroom; assists in the maintenance of floor care equipment as needed; cleans, sanitizes and restocks restrooms; delivers supplies and materials as needed. Removes trash from buildings; secures buildings as needed, and other tasks as required by the assigned contract.

Education and Training:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Floor care experience necessary
• Preferably two years of custodial work experience
• Effective communication skills in English required
• Ability to read and write English for understanding procedures
• Capable of giving and receiving instructions verbally and in writing
• Proficient in presenting information and responding to inquiries from clients, supervisors, and co-workers

Other Requirements: Must pass TB test and background check and drug screen. Must have reliable transportation, a valid NM drivers license, and an Agency insurable driving record. Must have strong attention to detail and quality, and the ability to apply them. Must be able to remain on feet for approximately 90% of the workday. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. frequently. Must be able to operate equipment (vacuums, buffers, extractors, etc.), continuously for several hours at a time, and be able to climb ladders for cleaning purposes. Pay: From $17.20 per hour
