Customer Service Rep
General Description of Duties: Provides administrative and customer support in the areas of customer service, special projects, clerical and organizational support, scheduling and other duties as assigned. Develops bid for contracts as assigned; schedules contracts for processing time table; runs errands and delivers paperwork to other locations as required. Maintains office equipment and may assist with purchase of office supplies. Will perform Receptionist duties, general clerical duties (i.e. filing); takes calls from customers and donors; addresses customer complaints; maintains equipment, office supplies; runs errands and delivers paperwork to other locations as required. Maintains data and submits a variety of administrative reports as required (i.e., customer follow-up, quality assurance, service improvements, status reports and results of activities.) Will perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: High School Diploma (or equivalent) required. Customer Service experience is required. One year recent experience utilizing Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) applications required. Must be able to generate and maintain Excel worksheets utilizing formulas, links and charts. One year general clerical experience required (to include filing and operation of routine office equipment). Must demonstrate strong written, verbal and organizational skills. Experience with busy phone system required. Must have the ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with internal and external customers of Adelante. Have the ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, supervisors and co-workers.
Other Requirements: Must pass background/fingerprint screening and pre-employment drug screening. Must have an insurable driving record and must possess a valid NM drivers license. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand, walk, bend, stoop and carry frequently. Must be able to climb 5 ft., reach above shoulders, balance, push/pull, occasionally. Must be able to work in a busy, fast-paced, sometimes noisy environment, may be exposed to combative clients. Adelante is a drug free workplace.
