Job Description:

This position serves as a primary point of contact for Parking and Transit Services at West Campus, providing front-line customer support in a solo office setting. The role requires strong communication skills to clearly explain policies, procedures, and services to a diverse group of internal and external clients. Responsibilities include handling financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, performing minor equipment upkeep, and resolving customer issues with professionalism and efficiency. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.


Hourly pay rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.

Essential Duties:

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers in a professional, courteous, and positive manner.
  • Provide detailed information regarding Parking and Transit Services, including policies, procedures, and services.
  • Manage customer transactions, including processing payments via digital and electronic systems (e.g., AIMS, Salesforce, Amano One, ParkMobile).
  • Reconcile and balance cash drawers and receipts, ensuring accurate reporting. Monitor equipment and facilities, including performing minor cleaning, maintenance, and light repairs in public areas.
  • Track and escalate issues to supervisors or appropriate teams for resolution as needed.
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints and concerns, applying knowledge of parking systems, regulations, and self-service tools.
  • Adjust priorities quickly to address high-volume or special-event periods, providing responsive customer service.
  • Assist with activity reports, logs, and other documentation related to operations and case management. Support continuous improvement of customer-facing processes to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery.
  • Promote sustainability efforts within Parking and Transit Services, encouraging customers to adopt eco-friendly behaviors.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with parking management systems and software such as AIMS, Salesforce, Workday, and ParkMobile.
  • Demonstrated success in resolving customer service issues in a high-volume or fast-paced environment. Familiarity with conflict resolution techniques and de-escalation strategies in customer-facing roles.
  • Experience promoting or supporting sustainability practices within an organization.


Working Environment:

  • Work is performed in an office setting with some outdoor exposure, subject to extreme weather conditions (hot summers and cold winters).
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and moving items up to 25 pounds.
  • Requires extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as repetitive motions using a computer and other equipment.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, resolve conflicts, and perform routine office tasks effectively.


Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma and two-years (2) experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
