Job Description
Cytotechnologist sought by AdventHealth Orlando in Orlando, FL, to perform anatomical pathology procedures. Microscopic evaluation & reporting of negative gynecological thin layer slide preparations & microscopic evaluation & formulation of an opinion for the pathologist of abnormal gynecological thin layer, non-gynecological, & fine needle aspiration slide preparations. Performs pre-& post-analytical activities rltd to tests assigned. Performs & results molecular testing &/or ancillary testing from the specimen vials & correlates w/ morphologic findings. Completes routine screenings for cell specimens, reports results, & docs daily workload records. Processes specimens for analysis, according to specs rltd to the type of specimen. Assists in the collection & processing of fine needle aspiration specimens. Reqmts: Bachelor's deg (or foreign equiv) in Clinical Lab, Chemical, or Biological Science, or rltd field.
