This multifaceted position involves overseeing project coordination, controlling online banking systems, and supporting the Digital Innovation & Transformation Manager. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. This position suits individuals passionate about project management and interested in understanding basic aspects of online banking and IT operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate project activities, ensuring tasks are completed within established timelines and budgets.
  • Participate in implementing new Digital Banking products, testing, and post-implementation support of online banking service products, including product marketing, to increase awareness and adoption rates internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to online banking services, providing timely resolutions.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and propose solutions to ensure successful completion.
  • Implement enhancements and updates to online banking platforms based on user needs and industry trends.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and status updates for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement digital banking initiatives.
  • Assist the department Manager with Digital Banking project plans, allocate resources, and monitor project progress to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Manage and maintain online banking systems, ensuring smooth operations and user support.
  • Train users on new features, functionalities, and security measures of online banking systems.
  • Aid in operational tasks like department audits, core management or configuration and administrative support within IT operations.
  • Assist in documenting department operational procedures and maintaining documentation related to processes.
  • Be an individual who can proactively contribute innovative ideas as part of a collaborative team effort.
  • Maintain knowledge with B.S.A. Compliance training.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Experience working in operational roles within diverse industries.
  • Proficiency in online banking systems, with a strong understanding of banking processes and member experience.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Efficient in time & workload management.
  • Excellent organizational techniques as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities while handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of financial institution operations and business processes, including technology operations.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced verbal communication skills: ability to articulate your thoughts and ideas and develop a point of view about your work.

Minimum Expectations of Knowledge and Skills:

Experience - Two years of banking experience and technical support preferred.

Education - (1)A two- or four-year college degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school, or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.

Interpersonal SkillsCourtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization to give or obtain information, build relationships, or solicit cooperation.

Other Skills - Ability to travel to branches. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Excellent Problem-Solving/Analysis skills. Excellent communication and writing skills. Excellent conceptual thinking and analytical skills.

Compliance

Every employee must uphold the credit union's compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering policies and procedures. Specific functions with B.S.C.U. will consider the awareness of unusual or suspicious activity that is relevant to the department.

  • In addition to any other assigned training courses, online B.S.A. and O.F.A.C. courses must be completed at least annually, as made available by the Training and Compliance Department.
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Identification Program, U.S.A. Patriot Act, O.F.A.C., Fair Lending, and Credit Card Act.
