Donor Network of Arizona is seeking an emotionally strong, genuine,compassionate, intuitive and mission driven individual to medical screenpatients with hospital staff, medical examiners, nurses, and organ recoverycoordinators, evaluating lifesaving transplant donation suitability.
This Donor Support Coordinator must possess a strong desire to help others andbe comfortable frequently working with families over the phone at their mostdevastating time of loss. Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in workingas part of a team of professionals dedicated to on-going?learning with oneanother in a collaborative style. Job Duties:
The Donor Support Coordinator screens patient medical and social history withnurses, family members, administrative personnel and technicians;donor case management, customer service, adherence to policy, bulletins andadvisories; document accurately, thoroughly, timely, and professionallyaccording to department procedures; coordinates and dispatches technicianteams; Obtains and?verifies the legal consent. Communicates and guides next ofkin family members providing information about the gift of donation immediatelyafter the loss of a loved one.?
You will enjoy a great 12-hour work schedule. This is a 24/7 operationwith shifts based on seniority and this position will join the night shift from7pm-7am. Night, evening and weekend shift differential from $1-3 perhour. Extensive training, coaching and development leading to competencycertification as required to perform job duties. Must be able to retain andrecall knowledge, leverage experience and training to obtain and accuratelydocument a vast array of medical and social?history for the purposes oftransplantation. Qualifications:?
?Bachelor's Degree or higher?
?Excellent verbal communication and written skills?
?Basic computer literacy with a minimum typing speed of 25 wpm?
?Definitive Team Player?
?Knowledge, work, and life experience to connect with families in a meaningfulway
?Must demonstrate and draw from experiences, this is not an entry levelposition
Prior management experience a plus-Prior Scribe experience a Plus
