Position Summary | The Emerging Technology Specialist will support HSLICs technology initiatives by researching, implementing, and maintaining innovative tools and services, including but not limited to augmented/virtual reality (AR/VR), 3D printing, data visualization, virtual anatomy tables, and instructional technologies. These tools are aimed at enhancing health sciences education, research, and clinical practice. The position will also assist in the daily operations related to emerging technologies and provide training and support for staff, faculty, students, and researchers to utilize these tools effectively, driving innovative learning and research outcomes. NOTE: The University of New Mexico will reclassify all Grade 11 and 12 exempt positions to non-exempt on January 1, 2025, to comply with FLSA regulations. Bachelor's degree; at least 4 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
