Engineer - Product Design sought by Schaeffler Battery Technology LLC in Wooster, OH. Conduct mech'l devt engg activities rqrd to dvlp competitive Battery Sys products. Reqs: Bach deg or foreign equiv in Mech'l Engg or rel + 1yr exp in job offered or rel. 1 yr exp must incl: conducting mech'l devt engg activities rqrd to dvlp products incl Concept, Feasibility, Prototype, Testing & Validation; Hands-on Prototyping & validation at diff build stages; DFM & DFA for products & parts from diff processes; dvlpg robust structure of mech'l sys to meet product specs & reqs; CAD/CAE Modeling incl 3d & 2d in CREO, ANSYS Mech'l using detailed understanding of boundary conditions in CAE simulations & validation; Applying dsgn improvement principles to parts & assemblies made out of sheet metal, die casting, injection molding & other processes & specialty materials; PLM using WindChill; Dsgn Analysis incl DFMEA, DOE, Weibull Analysis, ANOVA, & Gauge R&R; & Proj coord'n involving cross-functional teams incl suppliers & vendors. Travel reqd to various & unanticipated client & Schaeffler sites, nationally & internationally, 20%. Telecommuting permitted 2 days/wk.
