DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:

The Enrollment Services Processor provides enrollment related services to Gila River Indian Community

(“Community”) members, Community departments/programs and other tribal, federal, and state agencies in

accordance with the Membership Ordinance and the Enrollment Department’s Policies and Procedures. The

Enrollment Services Processor interacts closely with the public, processes requests for services, and updates

enrollment records to ensure accurate enrollment information.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Process a high volume of requests from Community members for enrollment related services including

creating and issuing Certificates of Indian Blood (CIB) and Tribal ID’s, updating contact information, and

processing submitted legal documents.

  • Assist Community departments/programs and other agencies requesting enrollment information or

verification to determine Community member eligibility or program compliance for tribal, federal, or state

programs.

  • Review enrollment files and department databases to verify requested services were provided, enrollment data

is entered accurately, and required documents are scanned to appropriate databases.

  • Research records to ensure enrollment files contain all required documents and information; work directly

with member or parent/guardian to obtain information to complete enrollment records.

  • Verify enrollment status of members applying for per capita disbursements; work with the Per Capita Office

to resolve issues related to enrollment verification and the per capita application process.

  • Assist parents/guardians with pending Per Capita Minor Trust Agent Forms; work with the trust administrator

to resolve Trust Form and enrollment information discrepancies and maintain Minor Trust Log.

  • Provide general office duties to support the department: answering phones, assisting with mail, scanning and

filing documents.

  • Perform file audits and generate database reports to track and monitor all enrollment files.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.
