Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Enterprise Architect to join our team and collaborate with technical architects and IT leaders. As an Enterprise Architect, you will play a critical role in helping to define and implement the overall technology strategy for our organization. You will review existing architectural paradigms within the organization and evaluate potential changes to the environment. In this key role you will ensure our business objectives are aligned with technology solutions and that our infrastructure is secure, scalable, and efficient. This technologist will partner closely with IT and business leaders to constantly elevate our technology ecosystem while collaboratively supporting the operations of our Agile development teams and engineers.
Responsibilities:
* Participate in architectural design meetings in support of key IT and Digital initiatives
* Develop and maintain a robust documentation strategy that aligns with the companys architecture
* Establish and maintain a repository for architectural documentation and diagrams
* Prepare detailed architectural documentation and diagrams that are easily understood by technical and non-technical audiences
* Conduct regular reviews of documentation and diagrams to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with industry standards
* Participate in architectural and security reviews to ensure solutions are highly performant, resilient, secure, and cost effective
* Work closely with technical architects of different disciplines to ensure architectural roadmaps are thoroughly documented and effectively implemented
* Ensure that costs are managed and inline with a tight budget
* Develop and implement governance policies around infrastructure and data security initiatives
* Identify and assess risks associated with past and future technology decisions and proactively address security, compliance, and data privacy concerns in architectural design and implementation
Desired Experience/Education:
* Demonstrable recent experience as an Enterprise Architect
* 8+ years of experience designing solutions in cloud and on-prem environments
* Recent experience creating and maintaining robust architectural documentation and visual diagrams
* Expert level knowledge of modern diagraming tools
* Thorough understanding of established EA frameworks (TOGAF, Gartner, Zachman, etc.)
* Strong technical knowledge of PaaS, IaaS service models, and IaC
* Strong understanding of architectural design patterns, concepts and best practices
* Understanding of Microservices, Service Fabric and Containers
* Knowledge of cloud and on-prem integration technologies and data platforms
* Experience with virtualization technologies and solutions, including HCI
* Experience with Event Driven Architecture, SOA, and Serverless Computing
* Recent experience in a collaborative Agile working environment (Scrum preferred)
* Experience in provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems running in the cloud
* Must be able to work on multiple projects and consistently meet project deadlines
Other Desired Skills / Certifications:
* Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred) or MCSD Azure solutions developer
* Familiarity with Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Cosmos DB and Data Lake (Gen 2 Storage)
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build rapport and communicate effectively at all levels and across disciplines. Relationship management skills are a must
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Detail-oriented, strong work ethic and high standard of excellence
