We are looking for an Aetna/Health Care Business Communications to work closely with our Vice President of Aetna/Health Care Business Communications, to establish and direct execution of robust, metric-driven, multi-channel strategic communications plans/campaigns to protect and advance CVS Health and Aetnas reputation and culture, and operationalize a high-performing communications function. Partnering with key business leaders throughout CVS Health, Aetna and Enterprise Communications COEs, you will be called upon to bring communications acumen to advise on opportunities and challenges to our growth strategy and to serve as a thought partner to advance core business objectives. Your core focus will be directing the communications leads for our Lines of Business: Medicare, Commercial and Medicaid. The role will also back up and provide support to the Executive Director for the enabling functions: People Purpose and Culture, Network, Clinical, Member & Provider Satisfaction and the Office of the President.

Your ability to partner with colleagues in the Aetna business - Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial - along with Aetna business Marketing, Medical Affairs, Government Affairs and Human Resources and Centers of Excellence in Corporate Communications is critical to success in this position. You will utilize your experience with critical thinking across multiple disciplines to provide guidance and ensure strong execution of plans.

You will be a key member of the Enterprise Communications teams and will work collaboratively in support of the Enterprise narrative.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Protect the CVS Health/Aetna brand and reputation by anticipating potential issues, delivering insights and best practices to influence strong communications approaches and collaborating cross-functionally to build effective issues managements plans.
* Lead the development and execution of communication strategies, plans and scorecards using best practices, innovative ideas and insights.
* Develop multi-channel strategic communications plans leveraging paid, earned, shared and owned media to advance CVS health/Aetna reputation, promote our culture, showcase our innovation and elevate key executives as industry thought leaders.
* Serve as strategic communications counselor and trusted advisor to key Aetna executives. Coach these leaders in advancing their visibility as go-to thought leaders among targeted stakeholders.
* Direct team in developing and executing robust, "always on" content and storytelling strategies to advance business priorities.
* Lead team in driving proactive public relations and crisis supports in collaboration with Enterprise communications.
* Direct, lead and mentor team in effectively delivering on strategic communications plans and campaigns. Continuously adjust priorities and redeploy talent as business needs evolve. Coach in building and executing development plan to enhance skills and competencies, while driving career path aspirations and belonging.
* Proactively and consistently make connections to larger enterprise initiatives.
* Drive team operational excellence and efficiencies.
* Ensure communications are error-free, accurate, appropriately approved and consistent with CVS Healths core values.
* Manage agency supports.

Key Qualifications
We are seeking a top candidate with a strong and varied communications background who can build collaborative and effective relationships with external and internal audiences, drive for results and ensure flawless execution of critical projects.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to distill key industry trends, recommend strategic actions, and share ideas and information across diverse audiences.
* High degree of professionalism and executive presence required to interface with executives on a regular basis.
* Strategic and analytical thinker, with superior problem-solving skills and the ability to execute near-term details with precision while advancing a broader, forward-looking strategy.
* Strong performance accountability orientation, ability to follow through on commitments, maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
* Excellent people leadership, time management, planning and organizational skills.
* Commitment to coaching and mentoring teams, creating a learning environment and fostering a culture of collaboration.
* Willingness to travel, as needed, and in support of business needs.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 131,500
Maximum: 289,300

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications
* 15 years relevant communications experience
* Deep experience in serving as a strategic counselor to key executives and in building and leading high-performance communications teams.
* Expertise in multiple communication disciplines (e.g., media/public relations, internal/ executive communications, public affairs, marketing and community relations).

* Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate toward a common goal.
* Subject matter expertise in health care
* Experience collaborating with and influencing senior executives and managing talent.
* Demonstrated ability to integrate strategies and connect the dots.
* Ability to handle high-level confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.
* Commitment to quality, while being able to prioritize and excel in a fast-paced environment.

Education
* Bachelors Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, Business or a related field
