What you'll do:
The Facilities Technician is responsible for proficiently performing general, routine, and preventive maintenance and emergency services to all service centers, including its operating systems and equipment, to ensure safety and proper function for team members and clients, while also ensuring cost savings for the company.
The right Technician will need to be well-rounded in their abilities to understand our service centers and protect all major facets of the building including but not limited to pneumatic operations, 120v-240v electrical (both single and three phase), supply and wastewater plumbing, and air quality with HVAC.
This role best suits people with strong technical abilities, attention to detail, eagerness to develop and learn, and a customer service mindset. Additionally, you will need to be flexible when dealing with changing needs throughout the day; you will perform routine activities, but this role also requires you to shift gears, respond promptly, stay late, and attend to emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs across facility systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, carpentry, and painting.
- Service and maintain facility-specific equipment such as tire rotation lifts, pneumatic pumps, air compressors, and portable equipment (e.g., transmission flush, coolant, and A/C machines).
- Retrieve, document, and complete work orders through the company's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Conduct preventive maintenance per assigned schedules and manufacturer recommendations.
- Respond to and complete break/fix work orders within specified service levels.
- Assist with special projects and facility upgrades as assigned.
- Support emergency response and after-hours maintenance needs when necessary.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, organize parts and materials in the maintenance vehicle and storage areas.
- Follow established guidelines, company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety protocols at all times.
- Assist and collaborate with other maintenance team members as needed.
- Perform basic custodial tasks and support office/facility setups as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year of maintenance, facilities, or related field experience.
- Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in CMMS software and basic computer skills (MS Office Suite, Excel, or similar).
- Ability to work independently and follow established processes and guidelines.
- Organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work at heights of 14 feet or higher on ladders and/or other aerial lift platforms.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold)
- Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, twist, or crawl as needed.
- Use of one or both hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to coordinate multiple limbs simultaneously (e.g., climb ladders, operate hand tools).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Trade certification(s) in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a related field.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
- Experience with maintenance in an automotive or industrial environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

What youll need to succeed:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate degree or technical certification in facilities management, building maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role, with a solid understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
- Knowledge of safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and basic building codes.
- Proficient in using maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective vendor and team interactions.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, work at heights, and handle physically demanding tasks.
