Job Description:
This position is responsible for the Safe Operation and Participation of Detailed Set Up of CNC LASER cutting machines. This position will be responsible for safe and efficient operation of CNC LASER cutting equipment, as well as the production of quality components in accordance with blueprints and customer specifications. Flexible schedule with opportunities for on-the-job training and comprehensive benefits.

Job Details:

• This is a great Direct Hire opportunity!
• 1st and 2nd Shift Monday to Friday (40-50 hours per week)
• Flexible schedule is required; this position requires shift work as well as some weekend work

Key duties and responsibilities

• Safe operation and usage of CNC LASER machinery, tools, cranes, and lifting devices.
• Use effective 5S and housekeeping principles to keep your workspace clean and organized.
• Setup and operation of CNC LASER machinery, such as Amada or comparable CNC LASER cutting equipment.
• Recognize material kinds such as steel and stainless steel
• Read and interpret Engineering Drawings/Blue Prints.
• Must uphold quality expectations and inspection criteria.
• Maintain accurate daily time keeping records.
• Participate in and support Continuous Improvement activities.
• Maintain and support manufacturing and machining "best practices and standards"
• Interact closely with different departments across the firm, including as Engineering, Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Leadership, and Sales.
• Always act in an ethical and professional manner
• Complete all other duties given by the Operations Manager and/or Team Lead.

Qualifications / Requirements

PREFERRED

• Through understanding or ability to identify a variety of cutting tools.
• Possess a thorough understanding of Machining Principles and Best Practices.
• Basic knowledge of cutting conditions and ability to make proper adjustments when necessary.
• Thorough understanding and the ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings / Blue Prints.
