Field Microbiology Applications Specialist

Field Microbiology Applications Specialist for life sciences company headquartered in Billerica, MA. Duties are performing installation, troubleshooting & customer application trainings for MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry instrumentation & systems used for microbiology analysis including delivering pre & post-sales technical presentations; reviewing customer specifications; performing evaluations & demonstrations; running organic & biochemical compounds to verify system performance; executing preventive maintenance protocols; providing troubleshooting & application specific system testing; and conducting on-site application trainings on system usage. Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Microbiology or related field and 2 years' experience in the job duties as stated. The position is managed out of Billerica, MA headquarters but allows the individual to live anywhere in the U.S. & allows for the option to work from a home office. The position requires 50% travel to customer sites in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. & Latin America.
