Global Operations supports markets to ensure they have operational solutions and consulting resources that solve the needs of today, while looking ahead to our future.
In this exciting role of Director, Global Restaurant Operations you will be responsible for leading key Global Operations development workstreams focused on elevating the customer and restaurant teams experiences, through market testing and evaluation up to scaled deployment. You will partner cross functionally with McDonalds MCX functions, market and segment teams and market leadership thought your projects.
This position reports to the Senior Director, MCX Global Restaurant Operations and will be Chicago (MHQ) based.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Operations project leadership and oversight of our restaurant platform priorities with primary responsibilities including definition of new operations standards and procedures through concept ideation, development and test phases across a variety of initiatives and solutions
- Define restaurant systems, processes and requirements accounting for the integration of multiple initiatives which simplify the roles of our restaurant teams to enable them to deliver an elevated customer experience
- Lead market zero testing efforts and test evolution of global initiatives and solutions, across various test cells
- Engage as a strategic partner to market zero partners and other MCX functions, work collaboratively to drive projects forward ensuring stage gates and goals are met
- Partner with Mission teams and initiative leads to develop clear operating standards, procedures and restaurant facing training tools and resources
- Manage/support Speedee Labs and in-restaurant testing, ensuring tests are designed for insights and ability to inform strategic decisions (menu, operations, digital, technology and restaurant design)
- Define key operations performance indicators, evaluate performance of test restaurants
- Provide Senior leadership updates on initiative progress, keeping projects on track and budget where applicable

The expected salary range for this role is $168,350-$218,860per year

- Minimum 3-5 years business experience with progressive responsibilities owning initiatives and driving strategy at the Manager or above band
- Knowledge and experience in testing and deploying restaurant and customer facing solutions within market
- Experience leading others and managing cross functional teams
- Held previous roles in market field operations
- Must be fluent in English, with both strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally based on project needs
- Thinks at a Global, enterprise level and has ability to understand and represent multi-layered global and market audiences
- Comfortable with ambiguity and skilled in defining/bringing structure to solve business problems
- Is a proactive self-starter, committed to team growth through shared learning and communication
- Effective communication skills with the ability to convey concepts and narratives in a compelling manner across stakeholder groups
