Presides over office communications, schedule, and patient accounts. Commands comprehensive knowledge of patientaccounts as it relates to scheduling, pre-registration, benefits eligibility and payment. Serves as a liaison between thepatients, physicians, patient clinics, case management, centralized billing office, third party Medicaid eligibility vendor and community agencies. Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the schedule and patient accounts as well as thepreservation of confidentiality. Schedules patient procedures, completes pre-registration, and verifies/obtains providerorders, coverage, and necessary authorizations for all scheduled procedures. Assesses patient portion after verification of benefits and authorizations.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 10am-6:30pm (subject to change)
What You Bring/Job RequirementsIn addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
- One year of healthcare experience.
- One year of previous Patient Scheduling or Patient Access experience, preferred.
- Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience in office support or customer service, preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED, required
- CPR if required by facility.
Physical Requirements-Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)
