Job Description

Keymark Corporation of Florida, an aluminum extrusion manufacturing plant, is actively interviewing applicants for Health, Safety & Environmental Manager at the Lakeland manufacturing plant.

We are looking for applicants with a minimum of 5 years experience (combined with education) with progressive responsibility executing Health - Safety and Environmental policy in a heavy industry work setting. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements and laws to prevent hazards and injuries. As a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager you will work with the site leader to manage and develop safety programs to educate managers, supervisors, and stakeholders to champion the prevention of hazards, risks, and injuries.

Candidates Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health, Safety & Environment preferred; or equivalent of five years' experience in progressively responsible safety position; or an equivalent combination sufficient to perform essential functions of this position.
  • OSHA Certified (30 Hours) required.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint 
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) training is preferred.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus. 


Responsibilities:

As a subject-matter expert, the Health & Safety Manager will provide coaching and support to managers on policy interpretation, driving decisions to meet state, federal, and corporate policy requirements. This will require you working closely with and listening to all stakeholders, so that we build the most effective systems that are rooted in the reality of day-to-day operations.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. 
  • You should have a thorough understanding of the safety requirements of worksite equipment, including setup, operation and maintenance. 
  • Demonstrates a “hands-on” approach to working with employees and “Hands-on" approach to working with employees and management to instill a strong EHS culture.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills required.
