Job Summary - CORRECTIONAL HEALTH
Assist the Senior Manager of Health Information Management (HIM), Data Integrity, Release of Information, and Record Processing in managing, coordinating, and supervising the daily operations of HIM, which includes functions such as Release of Information (ROI), Birth and Death Registration, Data Integrity, Record Processing, and Scanning. Ensures all medical record activities are compliant and meet government and non-government healthcare guidelines, rules and regulations. Monitors and implements appropriate process changes and policies and procedures to ensure departmental functions are carried out in a timely, accurate, efficient, and customer service oriented manner.

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees: Bachelors of Science (or) Associates Degree in Health Information Management from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education

License & Certifications: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) (or) Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification

Work Experience: Five (5) year of healthcare experience in Health Information Systems

Management Experience: One (1) year supervisory/ management experience
