HIV Adult Mental Health Clinician

A sign-on bonus of 5% of the annual salary is being offered

Hybrid Work-Remote Model

CPLC LUCES (Latinos Unidos Contra el Sida/ Latinos United Against AIDS) provides HIV prevention education and supportive services to people living with or at risk of HIV/AIDS to improve health outcomes, reduce health disparities, and address barriers to treatment.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Under general supervision, provides direct and indirect covered services and treatment to individual clients, and coordinates with community supports and stakeholders. Responsible for managing appointment schedules, assigned caseload as a clinician, conducting assessments, implementing treatment plans, facilitating out-of-office services, performing crisis services when needed, and participating in ongoing learning experiences and treatment team consultation and coordination.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in a behavioral health-related fieldor able to secure a master's degree within 6 months of hire
  • Knowledge and understanding of general mental health, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, and serious mental illness.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and the ability to be insured under an automobile insurance policy.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule as needed per program requirements.
  • Must complete the agency's orientation and demonstrate competence regarding skills and knowledge.
  • Have basic typing/computer skills.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have good organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to obtain fingerprint clearance card, CPR, and First Aid.
  • Bilingual language skills in English/Spanish required and as appropriate to the population served.
  • Current license preferred, or ability to become licensed.
  • Must be 21 years of age.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMPETENCIES

Participate in a multi-disciplinary team in providing treatment for clients.

Manage and monitor individually assigned caseloads.

To be available for shift coverage and crisis resolution.

Educate individuals and their families.

Performs Clinical Record Reviews.

Assist in working with clients with medication and case management services.

Achieve assigned weekly/monthly productivity expectations.

Provide individual/family counseling and can facilitate groups. Engage clients, their families, and their community supports in treatment, provide illness self-management education, and coordinate services with referral sources and discharge planning.

Works with individuals that present with a range of behavioral health presentations, including co-occurring disorders.

Responsible for maintaining and coordinating service plan development and updates when applicable.

Performs comprehensive intake and ongoing assessments.
Facilitate and coordinate group therapy process.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Ability to become licensed with the State of Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as LMSW, LAC, or LAMFT; LCSW, LPC, or LMFT preferred. Valid Driver's License and proof of insurance meeting agency standards required. First Aid, CPR, and Fingerprint Clearance Card required

Effective January 3, 2022, all CPLC Employees and all Service Providers, are required to be Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19. Newly hired employees, who are not Fully Vaccinated at the time of hire, are expected to begin a vaccination series immediately upon hire. CPLC recognizes medical and religious exemptions to the COVID-19 vaccination requirement, in accordance with applicable law and upon approval by CPLC.
