DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:

Under general supervision of the Human Resources Recruitment Manager, performs professional, full-cycle

recruitment and talent acquisition services for assigned departments. The incumbent manages recruitment

activities from position intake through candidate selection and pre-employment processing. The Recruiter

partners with hiring managers to assess staffing needs, develop recruitment strategies, source and evaluate

qualified candidates, coordinate selection activities, and facilitate timely hiring outcomes. The incumbent is

expected to exercise independent judgment, initiative, discretion, and professional expertise while ensuring

recruitment activities comply with Community policies, applicable employment laws, Tribal requirements, and

established Human Resources procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 Manages full-cycle recruitment for assigned departments and vacancies, including recruitment intake,

sourcing, applicant screening, interview coordination, candidate selection, and preemployment processing.

 Reviews and evaluates applications and resumes against established minimum qualifications and selection

criteria; identifies qualified candidates and provides recruitment recommendations to hiring managers.

 Coordinates and supports structured interview and selection processes and provided guidance to hiring

managers to promote consistent, equitable, and legally compliant hiring practices.

 Coordinate required pre-employment screening activities, including background investigations, employment

verifications, motor vehicle records, fingerprint processing and other applicable Community requirements.

 Conduct recruitment intake meetings with hiring managers to understand position requirements, staffing

priorities, desired qualifications, recruitment challenges, and anticipated hiring timelines.

 Develops and executes targeted sourcing strategies for high volume, specialized, and hard to fill positions

using job boards, professional networks, community outreach, educational institutions, recruitment events and

other appropriate sourcing channels.

 Develops and maintains candidate pipelines for recurring and critical staffing needs.

 Serves as the primary recruitment partner for assigned departments and provides hiring leaders with regular

updates regarding applicant flow, candidate status, recruitment challenges, and recommended next steps

 Maintains timely and professional communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process and

supports a positive candidate experience.
