Position Overview
The Judicial Branch of Arizona in Maricopa County is seeking an accomplished and motivated Human Resources Specialist to join one of the largest, most innovative and progressive trial courts in the nation. The Human Resources Specialist performs paraprofessional human resources generalist type work carrying out administrative and technical support for day to day human resources activities, paperwork, and processes in the Employment Services unit supporting the Judicial Branch.

Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three (3) years of specialized administrative and/or human resources experience
Our Preferred Candidate has:
Preferred education/experience/training/certifications
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Management or a related field.
- Experience working in a Public Sector organization.
- One (1) year experience working in a Human Resources environment.
- Experience with systems, such as ADP payroll processing system.
- Provides customer service and responds to questions via email, telephone, and in person from employees and others regarding employment procedures and opportunities, health and non-health benefits, compensation, and other human resources services.
- Schedules and conducts onboarding for new employees.
- Performs employment eligibility (E-Verify) on newly hired employees.
- Prepares and processes paperwork, including Personnel Action Forms (PAFs), on all personnel actions related to hiring, promotions, transfers, salary adjustments, retirements, terminations, and leave.
- Updates internal HRIS database (Court Wide Web) on a daily basis with personnel changes.
- Maintains departments' personnel files and ensures compliance with records retention and release of information guidelines.
- Prepares routine, sensitive correspondence and documents related to areas of responsibility.

Selection Procedure
All Judicial Branch offers of employment and continued employment are contingent upon passing a thorough background/fingerprint check. Judicial Branch facilities are located throughout Maricopa County. This position may be reassigned to other locations. Assignments will be made based upon the needs of the department.
Employment for anyone hired or promoted into a Superior Court Classified position will be governed by the Classified Personnel Rules (CPR). This does not apply to positions in Adult Probation, Juvenile Probation or the Justice Courts.
