Job description
This position focuses on student achievement by working with teachers to ensure quality implementation of research-based mathematics and science program(s) and scientifically-based mathematics and science strategies/practices at the secondary level. Additionally, this position ensures the continued goals of the IMUST (Interactive United with Science and Technology) grant beyond the funding period:
Math and Science teachers will integrate math and science (Specifically math teachers will address math concepts to support science in appropriate sequence)
Math and Science
Math and Science teachers will utilize inquiry-based and hands on lessons
Math and Science teachers will incorporate student usage of technology
Math and Science teachers will participate in integrated activities with Career and Technical Education

Required qualifications, skills and experience
Minimum of a degree from an accredited college or university, a valid Florida teaching certificate, and certification in Math 6-12 or one of the Science certifications or Middle Grades Math or Middle Grades Science
A minimum of three successful teaching experience
Demonstrated competency in knowledge of the Sunshine State Standards, scientifically-based mathematics/science research, exemplary practices in mathematics/science instruction and data analysis
Demonstrated competency in using graphing technology, wireless communicators and scientific probes
Ability to plan, organize, and direct activities for teachers
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, administration, district staff, and the public
Experienced in facilitating adult training
